These features are available for free to all eligible Fing users with an active account and are designed to provide actionable insights about your network and devices.
Enhanced Network Analysis with Fing Desktop Insights
Fing Desktop’s Insights feature is finally exiting Preview mode, offering users a more detailed overview of their network. A sneak peek of Insights is available on the Home Page of Fing Desktop. To access the full list of reports, simply click on “See all insights.”
For those already familiar with this section, we’ve expanded the number of available reports and given the entire feature a complete graphic revamp, making it more intuitive and visually engaging for enhanced usability.
With Insights, all Desktop users can:
- View comprehensive data about device distribution.
- Monitor the online status of devices over time.
- Check lifecycle and warranty information.
- Explore distribution by brand, operating system, and product family.
You can dive deeper into each report by clicking on individual sections for a detailed breakdown. These Insights offer the perfect balance between at-a-glance information and the ability to explore every single device on your network.
Automated Network Insights to your Inbox from Mobile Scans
Understanding your network doesn’t stop inside the desktop app. After being available for Desktop users over the last few months, we are excited to release Automated Network Insights via email to our mobile-only users too. This series of emails delivers actionable information about your main network directly to your inbox.
These updates include:
- Links to operator manuals and FAQs for your devices.
- Information about support and help centers for your brands.
- A list of devices that are out of warranty or no longer officially supported.
- Tips and how-tos to help you get the most out of your devices.
With these insights, you’ll receive practical, actionable information that helps you stay in control of your network — even when you’re not actively using the Fing app. We recommend bookmarking the emails you find most useful for easy access later.
Note: You need to have at least five recognized devices on your network and a Fing account to receive Automated Insights via email.
