We are happy to celebrate the new year with Fing Desktop. This new addition to the Fing Suite is the PC adaptation of the Fing App, our top ranking network toolkit.
The Fing App offers a fast, beautifully designed, free network scanning service along with many additional features, such as internet speed test, service port scan, ping and traceroute. The Fing Desktop is an evolution of the Fing App, providing enhanced network scanning and brand new functionalities, and is available on both Windows and macOS.
Here at Fing, we have always aimed to provide the best products for our users. So just like we have been continuously upgrading the Fing App with new features, we are excited to offer you a brand new tool to satisfy your needs.
What you can get from the Fing Desktop
We have created Fing Desktop to integrate network scanning in your PC with more precise and accurate results than the Fing App. Plus, you can easily share your scan results with friends and the Fing Community to troubleshoot your network issues. To easily enjoy all the products of the Fing Suite, you can access Fing Desktop with the same account as the Fing App.
Here some of the new features available on the Fing Desktop:
- ‘Health Check Report’, a feature which is exclusively available on Fing Desktop. It provides a check up on the ‘health’ of the network in order to identify possible alerts or warnings. The Fing Desktop runs a constant monitoring of your network and sends you automatic notifications in case something goes wrong. You also get basic information on how to solve your connection issues through a first level help.
- ‘Get advice from experts’ is an option that allows you to share your network issues with friends and the Fing Community. In this way, you can get advice from experienced people to solve your problems.
- Speed Test and Level 1 Troubleshooting, which resembles the Fing App features while using more optimised tools.
- ISP details such as weekly outage rates, ratings and reviews, comparison of different providers, best performances in your country.
- Notifications of connectivity issues and widespread Internet outages for your Home ISP
