What is an IP Address

    • Private IP Addresses: These are used within local networks and aren’t accessible from the internet. Devices like computers, smartphones, and printers often use private IPs to communicate within a local network.
  3. Dynamic vs. Static IP Addresses
    • Dynamic IP Address: Assigned by a network when a device connects and can change over time. Dynamic IPs are often used by ISPs to conserve address space.
    • Static IP Address: A permanent IP address assigned to a device. Static IPs are commonly used for hosting websites, servers, or devices that need a consistent address.
